The Mk8.5 shares its platform and engine with the Fiesta ST Mk8, so our astonishing Mk8 Stage 1R calibration moved straight across to the facelift's slightly updated ECU. After a long dyno and test session MAXD placed the torque at a safe level of just under 380nm and the power at a repeatable 245-255bhp — from a completely stock car.
First impressions
On the road the car is quite astonishing. The mid-range pull will blow your socks off and the driveability is far better than the original calibration.
Since the release of the 1.5 Dragon engine platform in 2018 we have owned multiple ST Mk8s, and each one has been developed, then developed again. Stage 1, stage 2, stage 3 with hybrid turbos that have produced up to an incredible 315bhp — we are proud to be the only company in the world offering all three stages of mapping, plus all the proven supporting hardware.
