Founded in 1999 and built on fast Fords, Pumaspeed is expanding into a second avenue: BMW tuning, driven by huge customer demand and the sheer range of aftermarket parts available.
From a dominant force in Ford tuning to a second avenue
Pumaspeed has always been focused on providing the ultimate tuning solutions for modern fast Fords, and over the years we have grown into a dominant force on the UK, European and worldwide Ford tuning scene.
Just as the people whose cars we modify eventually move on to the next project, there comes a time for us to do the same. We are in the fortunate position of not simply moving on but expanding the business, and with the demand from our customers and the plethora of aftermarket parts out there, that expansion is BMW tuning.
Starting on the right foot
We already work with many of the market leaders on the Ford side of the business, which puts us on the right foot from day one. MAXD-Out mapping has been available for almost every BMW model for years; we are simply providing a marketplace that brings these proven, hugely developed ECU calibrations to the general public, with a view to growing the MAXD-Out share of the BMW market.
Many of the brands you know from our Ford range carry straight over: Milltek, Scorpion, Bilstein, Eibach, KW, K&N, Forge, Pipercross, Ferodo, Wagner and many more.
The development cars
Our M240i F22 B58 development car, now making over 500bhp, is already out on UK roads and tracks, and our new 335d F31 N57 demo car is ready to start testing and development work. We are hitting the ground running. You can read the first B58 X37 turbo and MAXD mapping results here.
The BMW section of the website is growing by the day, with new products and new suppliers being added all the time. If there is a product, or even a BMW model, you feel is missing from the site, get in touch: we will more than likely have a supplier for what you are after. Ford development is not slowing down
Do not for one second think this means development on the Ford side of the business will stop, or even slow. Stage 2 for the Fiesta ST Mk8 is imminent, Stage 1 for the Focus ST Mk4 is under way, and the new Puma offers a brand new market. If anything, the Ford side of the business is growing every single day, and 2020 promises to be our best year yet.
