The 2.0 TDCi found in the Kuga, Focus ST, Mondeo and more has always been a firm favourite in the Pumaspeed office. With the cost of buying one ever more affordable, it's an engine that, with a simple remap, has proper hot hatch performance figures while keeping fantastic fuel economy.
Proven on the Focus, ready for the Kuga
Since the Focus ST Diesel's release in 2015 we have owned two development cars: our original white car, taken all the way to stage 3 with 280bhp and 600nm, and our current Stage 2R Tangerine Scream car running a petrol-ST-bashing 250bhp and 520nm. What we have learnt from the Focus ST applies to any other Ford running the same 2.0 TDCi unit, including the Euro 6 Kuga Mk2.
Owning both has let us test every product on the market and design plenty of our own, which is why we are at the top of the tree when it comes to 2.0 TDCi tuning.
