New 2013 Focus ST Arrives at Pumaspeed
The Start of a new chapter for Pumaspeed begins Today with the arrival of a brand new Fcous 2013 ST-2 in beautiful Tangerine Screem launch Colour.
The Pumaspeed development team were so keen to have the car that within 6 hours of its arrival at Polar Ford in Stockport it had been Road registered ,Road Fund Licenced and checked over by the efficient PDI team. A great thanks goes out to Polar Ford for pulling out all the stops and delivering on all the promises.
Initail inspection and driving shows that the new 2013 Fcous ST is a real gem with a real lightweight drivers feel more akin to the Mk1 RS than the old ST225. volvo 5 cylinder.
M.D. Tony McQuire will be driving the car over the weekend and reporting on the findings but already believes the car has enormous potential from the new Ecoboost 2.0 turbocharged engine and tips the car to easily make 300bhp and with correct breathing and mapping push the stock turbo to the 325 PS mark
After 14 years of hands on workshop and devlopment experience the development team have already prepared lists of modifications for first thing Monday morning, but efore that starts take a quick look at the You Tube videos below showing a totally stock vehicle.

The Pumaspeed contacted KW Suspension many weeks ago and ordered a special prototype Variant 1 suspension system.Intended as a test fitting exercise the Variant 1 system has been retained by pumaspeed and lowered to 35mm from stock. The results when fitted with a set of Ford 19 inch wheels is quite stunning.The Road holding of the new car which was certainly better than the existing ST225 is helped by the use of much of the Focus RS mk2 system for the rear of the car including a full width anti roll bar.

One of the first questions we were asked was 'Can you put a Dump Valve on the New ST 250'
We have supplied many hundreds of Dump Valves for the old ST225 and RS's so we were keen to oblige.
The under trays on this car were removed and the noise was reccorded inside the garage so it may sound a little more quiet on the street.

Pumaspeed have been the development partner for Milltek Sport since 2000, the New Focus ST 250 has been penciled this week to have the first installment of development completed. We are looking forward to showing the results of at Ford Fair 2012.
Friday 10th August 2012 - TITANIUM OPTION COMPLETED
Its been a busy week for the Milltek and Pumaspeed Development teams. After extensive accoustic testing and tailpipe options the new TITANIUM OPTION Cat Back Exhaust System is complete.

Saturday 11th August 2012 - Stage 1 intercooler Complete
Working along side one of the highest profile Intercooler manufacturers Pumaspeed have specified a number of Intercooler options.
This R-Sport Stage 1 version has been designed the retain the all important dynamic radiator vents that open and close depending on fuel ecconomy.
The compact nature dictates that the intercooler core must be one of the most efficient in the world.The compact core (24 x 6.3 x 3.5 inches) is capable of well over 400 bhp. This compact nature will keep the crisp throttle response from the ultra responsive ecoboost 2 litre engine and deliver the coolest possible inlet temps within the space available.
Sunday 12th August 2012 - Ford Fair
A perfect showcase for all the new and products for the new Focus ST 250.
Parked alongside the existing Demo cars ; 430 bhp Focus RS Mk2 , 335 bhp Focus ST 225 , Ken Block Replica Fiesta Mk7 its first appearance realy drew the crowds when the Milltek Cat Back Exhaust came into full effect.
Tuesday 14th August 2012 - More Milltek Development
The Downpipe ,which has an integrated Catalyst ,was now the next thing on the list for development for the Milltek / Pumaspeed Teams .
A fully Decatted Downpipe and a Full 200 cell HJS specification High Flow Sport Cat DownPipe are penciled in within 2 weeks.
September 2012 - Silicon hose kits made and ready to go
October 2012 - Milltek Delivers Production ready systems to Pumaspeed.
October 2012 - SCT tuning box delivery with boxes able to be custom tuned to over 100 lbs ft of torque and 47 bhp extra
