X-37 Focus ST250 Hybrid Power Kit
X-37 Focus ST250 hybrid power kit: 350bhp and 500Nm from a bolt-on turbo.
The ST250 Focus EcoBoost is perfect to tune. The stock turbo will happily run 300bhp and give some serious thrills, but if 300 feels a little under-powered, Pumaspeed have the answer: the X-37-360 hybrid turbo and the Stage 3 MAXD remap, for 323whp, over 350bhp at the crank and a stable 500Nm-plus of torque.
What it costs
More torque is available on request with the Stage 3R map. Pricing from a stock car to the full 350bhp specification started at around £2,800 when this kit was launched; for those already running many of the regular bolt-ons it could be as little as £1,500 fitted. Pumaspeed recommends
When tuning your ST250 we recommend Denso ITV22 spark plugs to help prevent pre-detonation; they are available as an option with all our ST250 tuning packages. Because of the high torque, we also recommend the low-vibration lower engine mount: the standard part is known to be weak, and the uprated mount reduces excessive engine movement under hard acceleration and cuts down wheel hop.
Can we mail-order the kit?
Yes. The Pumaspeed ST250 power kit can be mail-ordered and sent anywhere in the world. If you are having the package shipped, select the MAXD Box option in the Mapping Options drop-down.
What is a MAXD Box? A MAXD Box is a programming device that lets you tune your car through the OBD port with your own laptop. It is a simple process, and it gives you the ability to switch between maps or return to stock whenever you choose. All MAXD Boxes are supplied with full instructions on a MAXD-branded USB stick.
