The brand new R-Sport Pro Intercooler is finally here to suit VW Golf Mk7 GTI and R, SEAT Leon Cupra 5F and Audi S3 8V models.

Manufactured with a hugely strong bar and plate core this intercooler produces absolutely fantastic results. Intake air temperatures are reduced massively when compared to the stock intercooler meaning you can increase performance whilst maintaining reliability and consistency. 

In our extensive testing with the help of the guys at MAXD, we found in our dyno cell intake air temperatures were reduced by as much as 50 degrees!

The R-Sport Pro Intercooler is much larger than the stock intercooler in terms of volume and frontal surface area, so you know it will outperform the competition in even the harshest of environments. 

The intercooler core size is 640mm x 415mm x 65mm and it weighs in at 10kg, powder coated in satin black or silver.

Also included are a set of silicone boost hoses and clamps which replace the stock factory items which are very prone to triggering a boost leak.

As with all R-Sport Pro intercoolers, this VAG cooler is direct fit and very easy to install with very few tools required. We also offer fitting on these at Pumaspeed HQ in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

What are the results?

A myth that many people will regard as true is that a bigger and better intercooler will give you more power. Whilst this statement is false, the truth is that a bigger and better intercooler will allow you to run an increase in power, without having your temperatures sky rocket. Without a better intercooler and with more power, your intake temperatures increase, the ECU will notice this and protect the engine from damaging itself by restricting power until the temperatures are back under control.

We stress tested our R-Sport PRO intercooler by strapping one to a customers 430bhp SEAT Leon Cupra. We decided to perform a near 30 second pull in 5th gear, fully loaded to simulate a steep incline in the road, and saw intake air temperatures rise just 20 degrees celcius. To put this into perspective, on a similar run with a stock Golf R, we are seeing temperatures rise by almost 40 degrees celcius, so it's safe to say this R-Sport PRO intercooler will help you run more power, for longer, and safer.
