What do you get when you take the Turbo Technics S280 turbocharger and work the Pumaspeed magic and give it a 40-50bhp increase in Flow. ?
We call it the X280 !!   Thats some elements of the S280 and the very best of 430bhp capable X58Evo2.

What do we do ?
we take your own old S280 and completely rebuild it to a much higher flow spec that delivers over 400 proven bhp.
 

What power can this new Hybris X280 actually do ?
We Tested One of our Race Car builds and ran a customised mapping specifically written for this turbo and our Double sealed Injectors, We called it the 400 / 400 map. Thats 400bhp target and 400nm capped to preserve the gearbox and engine.

On the low boost file
( 1.5 BAR initial 1.7 peak) we see 380 bhp, so thats quite conservative and safe boost, this enabled us to run a solid 21 degrees of ignItion which netted a massive 380bhp and super safe 370nm.
On The Medium boost file
( 1.7 Bar initial and 1.85 Bar peak) we see the target numbers of 400 bhp and 400nm which is still within the safety parametrs of the gearbox.
On the High boost file.....
We didnt bother pushing that hard, we stopped tuning as we were more than happy with the 400-400 mappings results AND THE ENGINE WASNT RUN IN.

What do we do and how do we do it ?
We ask that you send your old Turbo Technics S280 worn out or even blown or leaking unit to the Turbo Masters at Pumaspeed, We take this unit and fully rebuild and refresh the internal components and CNC Machine the existing Housings to accept new Larger and bulletproof internals that allow for a full 400bhp without producing the dreaded extra turbo lag. We dont have any units ready on the shelf to exchange, they are fully remade using your own old unit so turn around takes 7-10 working Days.

We built 2 of these units way back in 2020 and have been running them on a customer car and Dannys Grey race car to good effect.
Tested witht the MaxD mapping Dannys grey Race car made 410bhp when fitted with our double sealed injectors and a fuel cam lobe upgrade.
