Here at Pumaspeed we take engine building very seriously. We have seen too many Fiestas at the side of the track, drag strip and on Facebook forums with a blown engine due to the load of high performance taking it over the edge of the stock engine's capability. We like nothing more than making fast cars and part of that process sometimes involves building an engine that can withstand the power than you're putting into the car. That's why over the years we have culminated a select few engine building and machining specialists who can put together a complete engine to the exact tolerances and strengths that produce the 'red top' you see today. The forged engine is then finished with powder coated red dress up pieces and is ready to bolt into your car and begin it's 500 mile running in journey.

What is the 'Red Top' Engine Made From?

You get a fully assembled engine made from an original low mileage engine and OE head. The block and head will be reworked if required before being fitted with the brand new, forged Wossner pistons and PEC rods, piston rings, ARP assembly hardware and lubrication. All that will be required is for you to transfer across to the new engine is ancillaries such as sensors, injectors, alternator, solenoids, fuel pump, vacuum pump, and all accessories. As this is a complete unit, every part from your car will bolt directly on from whichever model you have in which ever country you are situated. Please note, the engine does not include a replacement turbo and is built to order so could take 2-3 weeks.

What Power can the 'Red Top' Achieve?

The Red Top engine is for the customer looking to upgrade their stock engine to one that can handle anywhere between the stock 200bhp to the abuse of a hybrid turbo such as the incredible X37 300bhp and above. This engine is intended for use up to 350bhp and a sensible 7250rpm rev limit. A fantastic choice for those with an engine failure who are looking to get back up and running, or for a serious track enthusiast who needs an engine to rely on.
