Get your recovery gear back to full fighting power with this genuine OX Winch Replacement 12V Motor. Designed specifically for the OX 13,500lbs winch series, this heavy-duty unit is the perfect solution for replacing a burned-out, tired, or water-damaged motor without the expense of buying a whole new winch.

Featuring a powerful Series Wound design, this motor delivers high torque at low speeds, ensuring reliable pulling power when you need it most. Built with high-grade copper windings and a robust housing, it is engineered to withstand the rigours of daily recovery work and off-road abuse.

Key Features

Direct Replacement: Designed as a straight swap for OX 13,500lbs 12V winches, ensuring perfect alignment with your existing gearbox and brake assembly.

High-Torque Power: Features a Series Wound design (unlike cheaper permanent magnet motors), which provides superior torque and durability for heavy load recovery.

Heavy-Duty Construction: Built with a large-diameter copper armature and heavy-duty brush pack to handle high amperage draws without overheating.

Double Ball Bearing: Equipped with quality bearings for smooth operation and reduced friction during long pulls.

Universal Potential: While made for OX winches, the standard spline shaft and mounting pattern often fit other generic 13,500lb winches (please check dimensions/spline count before ordering if fitting to a non-OX winch).

Weather Resistant: Finished in a durable black coating with sealed end caps to help resist moisture and dirt ingress.

Common Signs You Need a Replacement

Clicking Solenoid: If your solenoid clicks but the winch won't turn (and your battery is good), the motor brushes or armature may be dead.

Slow Operation: If the winch sounds "tired" or runs significantly slower than usual under no load.

Burning Smell: A strong electrical burning smell during operation usually indicates internal winding damage.

What’s In The Box? 1x 12V Series Wound Replacement Motor

Note: Does not include mounting bolts (retain your existing ones).

Installation Tip "Check Your Ground." When installing the new motor, always ensure the Earth/Ground connection bolt on the underside of the motor is clean and tight. A poor ground is the #1 killer of winch motors!
