Who it is for. This is the winch for 7.5-tonne recovery trucks: slide beds, spec lifts and heavy tilt-trays that load vans, 4x4s, tractors and small plant. When a 13,500 lb winch would be working at its limit on every job, the 17,000 lb gives you the margin to pull a loaded 3.5-tonne van up the bed in one line without a snatch block.

Why this one. A 6.8 HP (5.1 kW) series-wound motor and a 358:1 three-stage planetary gearbox deliver the torque for heavy, slow, controlled pulls. 30 m of 13 mm line gives you the reach to winch from the road to the bed on a long truck. The IP67 solenoid and sealed electronics keep it working in rain, mud and snow, and the 4.5 m wired lead plus two wireless remotes let you stand where you can see the load.

Rope or cable? Synthetic rope (red or black) is the safer, lighter line for vehicle recovery. Steel cable is for plant, scrap and anything abrasive.
