The Mk8 generation of Transit Van is ripe for tuning straight out of the box. With a completely standard 2.2 TDCi Duratorq running good fuel and in good working order we have seen up to 180bhp and 420nm!

This MAXD Commercial Stage 1R workshop fitted remap is designed to run on a completely stock van. It can be applied to any of the 2.2 TDCi Duratorq Transit range including both Transit and Transit Custom built from 2012 to 2016. 100ps, 125ps and 155ps models can all benefit from this remap. (100ps models have torque restricted slightly to avoid damaging the lower spec flywheel).

 

What if I can't visit Pumaspeed HQ?

Please get in touch as we have a huge dealer network, so we maybe able to install this at a more convenient location. 

 

Is it safe for my van?

There are very few remaps on the market today that have this sort or performance and also all the Ford OE built in safety features still included, for instance the stock boost level is lifted just 0.2 BAR. This 1R calibration is running on hundreds of vans now, with some over 100,000 miles on the clock with out issue, we pride ourselves on offering not only fantastic performance, but also a great reliability record.

 

What do we do and how long does the Commercial 1R remap take?

We plug into your vehicles OBD port and read the stock ECU data, we then update your specific ECU data with the new MAXD Stage 1R and import it back into your ECU via the OBD port again. All this is usually completed within the hour in house.

 

Does it affect MPG?

This question is always tricky to answer, put simply driven the same, you won't see a drop in MPG, if anything you may see an improvement. However if you very frequently make use of your new found additional performance, you will use more fuel to make the extra power.
