The brand new R-Sport Pro Chargecooler Radiator is finally here to suit BMW M140i, M240i, 340i and 440i models.

Manufactured with a hugely thick core this chargecooler produces absolutely fantastic results. Intake air temperatures are reduced massively when compared to the stock chargecooler meaning you can increase performance massively whilst maintaining reliability and consistency, whether it be on road, track or competition use. 

The R-Sport Pro Chargecooler is over 100% larger than the stock unit in terms of volume, so you know it will outperform the competition in even the harshest of environments. 

Does the larger chargecooler block air getting to the radiator?

One worry we had during development of this chargecooler was that a larger, more dense cooler setup would block air getting to the radiator and cause overheating issues under heavy load. 

We therefore decided to look further in to the this and took our 620+bhp M240i development car to Donington park to investigate, and as you can see from the datalog below, the coolant temperatures dropped significantly on a pull down the back straight from 89 to 143mph, meaning enough air is still getting to the radiator located behind the chargecooler. 

 

The chargecooler core size is 520mm x 470mm x 70mm and it weighs in at 12kg, powder coated in satin black.

As with all R-Sport Pro chargecoolers, this BMW cooler is direct fit and very easy to install for any DIY mechanics with very few tools required. We also offer a fitting service on these at Pumaspeed HQ in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, contact us to book in.
