Red and Black Editions make their debut at MAXD
The 1.0 Ecoboost has been a huge success for Ford and as we have proved, is a very potent engine with plenty of power potential. It seems Ford picked up on this and released the Fiesta Red and Black editions. Along with their unique paintwork schemes, these special editions have been given a power boost up to 140ps as standard.
Building on the success we have had the 100/125ps Pumaspeed and MAXD have got their hands on one to see what they are capable of with a some hardware changes and a little MAXD magic. The car came to us with some unbranded hardware upgrades including an intercooler and cat back exhaust. We took it straight on the rollers so we had a figure to run off. To develop our stage 2 we added a Milltek Sport decat down pipe into the mix and created an all new file to go with the hardware set up. One last pull on the rollers produced 178bhp & 257nm. Fantastic results from such a small engine, producing enough power to go out and play with junior hot hatches and rival a standard ST180!
