The Place - The Assen circuit in Holland The Event - The Autovisie Time Attack Driver of the 'Speedequipment / Pumaspeed' Ford Focus RS Dennis van Oostveen achieved an amazing result in the Time Attack Event is Assen in the cars first shake down outing. Driving a Focus RS with specification designed by tuning wizard Tony McQuire the owner of Pumaspeed..With build and prep by SpeedEquipment of Holland a final result of fifth in the SEMI PRO STREET was achieved.A great result for this first time out car, made all the more remarkable as the car was running a basically standard engine and GT25 Turbo with Milltek Sport Coated Manifold.
The Graph below shows 294.7 HP at 4888rpm and a huge 519 NM at 3338 rpm ,The car's mapping was based on a version of a low boost Pumaspeed GT28 map and as little bespoke mapping could be done in time was intentionaly running a little rich to protect the engine. The next event should see the installation of the now industry standard Pumaspeed GT28 turbo kit which with the next level Pumaspeed Remap in the Dreamscience Custom Pro box should safely lift power close to 340 bhp from the stock RS engine.
