ST 340 R Breaks Cover
Pumaspeed have announced the eagerly awaited the stage 1 ST340R engine upgrade package, which will take the standard Focus ST engine from 235PS to a class leading 340PS. The ST340R has now been successfully developed and extensively tested by both Pumaspeed U.K. and by the masters at Dreamscience.
The Class leading Pumaspeed 305 bhp conversion was used as a basis but with the addition of the new ST340R turbo and custom map only a huge improvment in power was attained. Pumaspeeds own Demo silver ST-3. has spent over 800 miles on the dyno rollers and on the road to perfect the on boost and off boost drivabilty.
A statment from DS suggest there is more to come from the STAGE 2 STRATGEM PRO system with the new uprated injector setup and revised mapping. 'At the moment we are happy to release the stage 1 pumaspeed STRATGEM PRO for use with the standard fuel injectors but any more than 340 PS could prove unreliable.
