You might have heard of the brand from watching Mighty Car Mods on YouTube. These little pieces of precision Australian engineering have proved incredibly popular down under, and now they have found their way to the UK.

What is wrong with the standard valve

GFB’s motto is an inspiring one, but what exactly are they talking about? We all know the standard electric diverter valve is nothing out of the ordinary, and like most standard parts it is flawed. The OEM valve is only designed for a standard car, and even at stock power its performance is not perfect. Its operation is fast, but its fragile diaphragm lets it down completely: even if you do not notice it, the standard part will leak boost, and the car suffers a small amount of lag coming back on to boost after you lift off.

What the DV+ does

By replacing the weaker internal parts, the DV+ puts you straight back on boost after lifting the throttle and holds higher levels of boost for longer, which ultimately means more power. This is especially apparent when running one of our X-series hybrid or Garrett turbos. After a few tests on our own demo cars we do not just recommend one of these: we would call it an essential upgrade to make the best of your turbo. A pocket-money spend that yields real results for a great price.
