Fiesta Hard Cut Limiter and Crackle Maps Now Available

MAXD hard-cut limiter and crackle maps, now for the whole Fiesta EcoBoost range.

The all-new MAXD crackle maps are available across the Fiesta EcoBoost range. No longer just for the ST: we have developed them for the 1.0 EcoBoost as well.

Existing MAXD customers can add the crackle to their current map with the ST180 crackle map upgrade or the 1.0 EcoBoost crackle upgrade.

Engineered, not just extra fuel

MAXD originally developed this WRC-style crackle mapping for VAG applications, where it has proved very popular with Golf GTI and S3 owners over the last two years. MAXD engineered these crackle maps very differently from the ones you may have heard on Renault Clios and Megane 225s.

Instead of dumping loads of extra fuel in, like the rudimentary Renault maps, the MAXD crackle map uses very specific ignition settings and the fuel already in the combustion chamber. And to stop the car popping and banging non-stop, the crackle is engineered to work only within a specific mid-range rpm band. You can drive through town normally without attracting unwanted attention, and you decide when the car crackles.

As for the sound, in our eyes it is just right, adding to the excitement and enjoyment of the car and giving you that WRC feel on a B-road blast. Check out the videos below.
