The Mk7 generation of Fiesta ST EcoBoost is ripe for tuning straight out of the box. With a completely standard ST180 running 99 RON fuel we have seen up to 235bhp and 370nm!

With some simple breathing modifications such as aftermarket cat back exhaust, downpipe and intercooler, our 2R calibration can see up to 255bhp and 400nm on tap, incredible numbers for such a small outlay and whilst still retaining the stock turbo.

This MAXD Stage 2R workshop fitted remap is designed to run with an aftermarket downpipe in place. It will run with additional hardware such as the R-Sport Stage 2 Intercooler and R-Sport Air Filter Kit to produce up to 255bhp (Yes - that's 255 bhp on a stock turbo!). We recommend high grade fuels only for Pumaspeed R spec maps, however if you only have access to 95 RON fuel, no problem, we can simply offer a slightly milder stage 2 file with a 5-10bhp and 10-15nm reduction to suit the lower quality fuel.


What if I can't visit Pumaspeed HQ?

No problem, we can now supply this new mapping via mail order on our MAXD Flash Programmer or MAXD Pro Handset meaning you can remap your ST180 or ST200 to our incredible 2R calibration anywhere in the world. 


Is it safe for my car?

There are very few remaps on the market today that have this sort or performance and also all the Ford OE built in safety features still included, for instance the stock boost level is around 1.30 BAR and the MAXD map only lifts that to around 1.55 BAR. This 2R calibration is running on thousands of cars now, with some over 100,000 miles on the clock with out issue, we pride ourselves on offering not only fantastic performance, but also a great reliability record.

 


ST180 tunes available from MAXD:

 

Stage 1 - Up to 225bhp with no or minimal hardware modifications, designed for 95 RON fuel, smooth progressive low boost factory-like calibration, a perfect addition giving extra drivability and economy.

Stage 1R - Up to 235bhp with no or minimal hardware modifications, designed for 98/99 RON fuel, more aggressive higher torque calibration, a perfect addition giving incredible gains in power, torque and economy.

Stage 2R - Up to 255bhp with minor bolt on hardware upgrades including intercooler, intake and turbo back exhaust. A very well mannered drive with a lovely hit of torque and a smooth progressive lift in power. Dwarfing the competition and giving you the full potential of the standard turbo when used with the full list of simple bolt on parts.

Stage 3R - Up to 345 bhp with the Pumaspeed X47R hybrid turbo and all available bolt on hardware. The most powerful hybrid turbo mapping available with total reliability day-to-day, and perfect low rev manners, with almost 1000 turbos sold world wide, you are in great company with this setup. 

Custom - Up to 400 bhp with the X57/58 series turbos plus larger Injectors and all suitable bolt on hardware. Race spec software not for the faint hearted, custom mapped to your build, we can even offer dyno tuning at MAXD HQ in Burnley for those unique projects.

Valet Mode - Available on request to limit the vehicle to minimal performance, ideal if you're leaving your car in the care of somebody else. 

Immobiliser Mode - Available on request to completely kill the cars ability to start and run, perfect for if you're leaving your car for a long period of time.

Stock - MAXD have a database of stock original equipment files, these are available on request.
 

What is the crackle on overrun?

Early in the 2010s, cars started emerging from factory with specific modes for the exhaust which would add pops and burbles to the exhaust upon you lifting off the throttle. We alongside MAXD, decided we wanted to replicate this on the Fiesta ST180 which saw almost overnight successful feedback with customers and the world's first crackle/overrun to suit the Fiesta ST180/ST200 was born. Simply lift off the throttle above 3500rpm and fall in love with the burbles, pops and bangs from your exhaust!

MAXD offer this in 3 different flavours. A milder sports cat safe burble, ideal for the more subtle customer. A decat only WRC style crackle for the attention seeker. Finally the most agressive option, decat only crackle and flame, not for the faint hearted!
 

What do we do and how long does the ST180 2R remap take?

Before we even touch your ECU, we do an initial visual vehicle health check to confirm there are no underlying issues which could be exacerbated by increasing your cars performance. We also plug in to your vehicles diagnostic port to perform a full health scan of the car to check for any stored error codes which you may not even know about!

The remapping process is relatively simple, we first connect your vehicle to our CTEK battery charger to ensure no voltage spikes or drops during the remapping process. Once hooked up to the charger, we plug into your vehicles OBD port and read the stock ECU data, we then update your specific ECU data with the new MAXD Stage 2R and import it back into your ECU via the OBD port again. 

Once the remapping process is complete we once again use the vehicles OBD port to reset any previously learned ECU values allowing your cars brain to make the most from the new calibration. This is then followed up with an in depth road datalogging session to confirm results and check for any minor running issues not picked up on the visual health check previously. 

All this is usually completed within the hour in house.

What's after the Stage 2 Remap?

We have a Stage 3 remap that has been developed specifically for use with hybrid turbos such as the X47R and many other hardware modifications such as the R-Sport air filter kit and R-Sport intercooler, plus downpipe and exhaust system. The more powerful Stage 3 remap will max out all the breathing and exhaust modifications, and push the hybrid turbo as far as we believe is safe (around 345 bhp).
