New 7 Blade Hybrid Turbo gives +30 bhp on Previous Results
New seven-blade hybrid turbo: another 30bhp over the previous best.
The rule book on small-frame hybrid turbochargers for the Focus ST225 has just been rewritten. Using a unique seven-blade billet CNC-machined motorsport compressor wheel, an additional 27bhp was recorded over the previous result on the stock turbo, and all the data compares like for like: one car, one set of rollers and very similar temperatures and conditions.
The test car
The test car belongs to FocusSTOC member James Cooper. His request was for something different from the very popular old-generation six-blade turbo, so we obliged with this full motorsport-spec unit. Now fully tested and mapped to over 357bhp, as the second graph shows, with the new Pumaspeed Turbo 7 remap.

Unique to Pumaspeed
The seven-blade turbo is unique to Pumaspeed. These turbos are supplied on an exchange basis; at the time of writing the exchange charge was £295 with a one-month return window, and unique Pumaspeed remaps for these turbos started from £299. See the product pages for current pricing.
