We understand how daunting it can be selecting the correct spark plugs or induction kit for your car so we have simplified this PS470 package deal with our recommendations below.

This PS470 kit includes the following by default:

- Genuine BMW B58TU Supra Fuel Pump

The options explained:

Air Filter - The standard airbox is perfectly capable of coping with the air flow demands of the PS470 mapping, the standard air filter however is identical throughout the petrol BMW range and a high flow panel filter really lets your B58 engine breathe. As with anything there are good and bad panel filters, and since this is your engines only way of breathing fresh air, it makes sense to go for the best on the market. An induction kit such as the MST or Osprey kits take this one step further by replacing the restrictive airbox connecting pipe, ideal for upgrading to stage 3 and beyond at a later date. Downpipe - The stock catalytic converter has only been designed to cope with the heat produced by the stock power level, when pushing towards stage 2 power levels the cat temps will rise to a point where it will begin to cause damage to the internals of your stock catalyst, also due to the small pipe diameter they tend to be rather restrictive. A decat gives the best value for money and as a by product you will gain more noise, a sports cat won't give you quite such a noticable noise gain but will keep you fully road legal and pass an MOT. Fuel Pump - The stock fuel pump fitted to the M140i and M240i platforms is a particular weak point when tuning. Realistically this fuel pump with it's low flow characteristics struggles to provide the required fuel pressure above 460bhp and 600nm in our experience, not ideal when the turbo has more to give! Happily there is a relatively affordable solution, ironically from BMW themselves. Fitted to the later B58 motors found in the Supra, G Series cars and even some MINIs, there is an OEM fuel pump upgrade which provides far better flow and therefore does not struggle for fuel pressure when you're pushing beyond the 600nm mark. Remapping - The hot topic on every BMW owners mind, which mapping is best for me and my car? Ultimately it's a very straight forward question to answer, MAXD mapping consistently outperforms it's competitors in all aspects. With this PS470 calibration you will see up to 470bhp and 670nm of torque, huge gains for minimal hardware changes! These figures are backed up by over 5 years of B58 engine development work, independent dyno results and fantastic customer reviews.

The MAXD PS470 gives you the flexibility to customise your calibration to your requirements. By default we include GTS startup roar, recalibrated sport displays, cold start delete and top speed limiter removal. We can by request remove any of these features for an additional cost. You also have the option of recalibrating overrun/crackle for your PS470 map, simply lift off the throttle for a much more enthusiastic exhaust note, without harming your stock catalyst.
