This 2R kit includes the following:

The options explained:

Mapping - The Hot Topic on every ST Mk8 owners mind, which mapping is best for me and my car? 
Ultimately it's a very straight forward question to answer, the New MAXD-OUT 2021 version Stage 2R mapping consistently outperforms it's competitors in all aspects. With stage 2R you will see upto 275bhp and 405nm of torque, (which is all we allow for engine safety reasons). Huge gains with simple Bolt On Parts
These figures are backed up by over 3 years of ST Mk8 development work, independent dyno results and fantastic customer reviews.

Mapping Safety :- We feel a genuine 275bhp on our Dyno at High Revs is safe.

  • After 3 years of dyno testing we have explored all levels of boost, all levels of ignition settings and Cam Timing settings. We have also tested the Fuel System to it limits and found there is a huge Fuel Supply issue between 1800-3000 revs, We have therefore Torque Capped the MaxdOut Stage 2R to 405nm as the HPFP cannot cope in this 1800-3000 rev range

Air Filter / Induction Kit - The standard airbox is a little out of its depth when it comes to coping with the air flow demands of the MAXD Out Stage 2R mapping, we therefore recommend you replace the airbox with an induction kit adding way more Inlet Flow and in the case of the Gemini stage 3 2 cold aie feeds which is more than any other system on the market. another benefit is more induction noise when on the throttle, and an addictive turbo flutter when you come off the throttle. The Pro Alloy stage 3 induction kit takes this one step further by replacing the restrictive airbox hose and crossover pipe but this does not have the two cold air feeds like the Gemini. The crossover is, ideal for upgrading to stage 3 and beyond at a later date. Pumaspeed Recommends: Stage 3 version of the Gemini Twin Induction Kit

Intercooler - The intercooler from factory on the Mk8 ST is quite impressive, but for stage 2 power, a replacement intercooler is required to cope with the additional heat of the extra 75bhp. We recommend the R-Sport 90mm Stage 2 Intercooler as it offers a stock location solution and an impressive additional 54% volume. It does not block the air flow to the water radiator and has been tested hard at the Nurburg Ring Direct fit to all existing pipework with 100% alloy construction, you simply can't get better for less! Pumaspeed Recommends: R-Sport Stage 2 but here is a Full Height R-Sport Pro400 for those wanting the Ultimate Cooling Experience

Catalyst - The stock catalytic converter has been designed to cope with just 200bhp, when pushing past stage 1 power levels the cat temps will rise to a point where it will begin to cause damage to the internals of your stock catalyst, also due to the small pipe diameter they tend to be rather restrictive even if the internals are removed. When you upgrade to a decat or sports cat therefore you can remove this restriction and allow yourself to add the upgraded mapping and make your car more powerful. A decat gives the best value for money and as a byproduct you will gain more noise. A sports cat will allow you to flow more air just like a decat, and will give you a little bit more exhaust noise, but not as aggressive as a decat will. A sports cat will however keep you fully road legal and pass an MOT. Pumaspeed Recommends: Milltek Decat (motorsport use only) and Milltek Sports Cat for road use. 

GPF Delete - When developing the MAXD Out stage 2 mapping for the ST Mk8, we experimented with various exhaust setups. We found that removing the restrictive GPF and downpipe gained almost 10bhp back to back versus the stock setup. A GPF delete will also benefit you for a much better exhaust sound, but be aware that a non-res GPF delete is VERY loud when combined with the downpipe so we recommend a resonated GPF if you're going on track and/or like your neighbours!  Pumaspeed Recommends: Milltek Resonated GPF Delete.

Exhaust - For most customers, the exhaust will be the first thing to change on your new car, and rightly so, not only will it give more noise personalising the car to your liking, but it will offer a performance benefit too! To a certain extent, the larger bore the exhaust, the more exhaust gases you can flow and the more power you can make, however, go too far and you can lose power. Both Scorpion and Milltek make great sounding, well built systems for the Mk8 ST. The Milltek GPF back system is the quieter of the two available (when comparing the two valved systems, valve open) but also the more expensive option. Scorpion however do offer a non-valved system for those who like things a little 'too' loud which is cheaper than all others! Pumaspeed Recommends: Milltek Valved Exhaust

The MAXD flash programmer gives you the flexibility to switch mapping, and return to stock mapping at anytime, all you'll need is a windows laptop. You also have the option of adding overrun/crackle to your stage 2R map, simply lift off the throttle and listen to your 1.5 EcoBoost burble, without harming your engine. Pumaspeed recommends: MAXD
