Focus ST 250 EcoBoost Power Upgrade PS 300 - Pumaspeed Performance Tuning Package
Pumaspeed has now finished development of the PS ST300 Upgrade , with an insane 370 lbs ft of torque and 300 bhp on a very accurate Dyno Dynamics rolling Road we think its a job well done and as far as the stock turbo can go without serious modification.

Take a second or ttwo to look at the power graph, an unbelievable 120 bhp difference between the stock ford map and the new and heavily developed Stage 3 remap is achieved at 6750rpm.This extra power and,torque create true any gear drive-ability.Finally the car is worthy of the ST badge, a real giant killer and true successor to the 5 cylinder Volvo engined Focus ST 225.
The test car has the following bolt on parts fitted ;
Pumaspeed Stage 1 Hybrid Turbocharger
Milltek Sport Cat Back Sports Exhaust system
Milltek Sport Hi Flow Down Pipe.
Pumaspeed Larger Uprated Intercooler
K and N Uprated Air Filter Element (Not air box or CAIS so there is room for a little more )
The above graph shows the huge transformation the full 300 power kit makes.
The Red line shows the first Dyno run with a full list of bolt on parts (Stage 1 Hybrid Turbocharger ,Turbo Back Exhaust, K and N Extreme Cone Filter, R-Sport Intercooler) and No Remap
The Green Line shows the same car on the rollers with the same bolt on list plus the addition of the Pumaspeed Stage 3 remap.
The Blue line (soon to be published) shows the same car with zero modification as a basis to work upwards from.
The difference is quite astonishing an additional 120 bhp is available at 6750 rpm and an additional 85 lbs ft of torque at around 2650 rpm
The New Pumaspeed 300 Power Kit uses the latest developments in ST 250 Focus tuning technology. This new Hy rid Turbo echnology has stretched the power up by approximately 10-15 bhp from the stock turbo levels but more importantly moves the point at which power drops off from alowly 5000 revs to much higher level giving a true visible increase of 120bhp at 6750 rpms
It is well known that the ST Focus Stock turbo exhaust housing is far too small to allow serious air flow at medium to high rpms. Tthe graph above shows that max flow even on the Hybrid unit is reached as low as 3800 rpms. So any gains above this threshold are going to be quite small unless the perfect remap to turbo combination are used.
Our new Stage 3 mapping and Stage 1 Hybrid Turbocharger are the perfect answer to push the boundary a little further. A true 300 bhp was developed using very simple bolt on parts and replacement Air Filter Element.
