Uprated 2.0 Ecoboost Hybrid Ford Turbo charger - Pumaspeed

The new 2.0 Ecoboost is a fantastic engine to tune, a few quick simple modifications will release the true potential form the 2000cc Ecoboost engine as seen by the Pumaspeed PS290 kit.
However the stock turbo charger as fitted by the factory is very small and quickly becomes the true bottle neck to halt power levels over 300 bhp.

Using existing turbo technology the Pumaspeed team have specified a new Stage 1 Upgrade which uses the standard turbocharger as its base, but uses some internal parts and technology from the 350bhp Focus ST 225 RS350 turbocharger which has proven itself very popular over the last 6 years.The New Hybrid Turbo for the 2.0t uses a Billet Compressor wheel with a 15% larger diameter which equates to a cross sectional area well above 20%. With This extra flow capabilty pumaspeed have seen huge torque and power increases from their SCT X3 custom remaps.

The Technical specs of the New Stage 1 Upgraded turbo for the 2.0 Eco boost suggest a theoretical limit close to 340 bhp. However due to the extremely restrictive 'Swan Neck' Exhaust Housing Pumaspeed believe that  expected gains of 15-20 bhp over existing customer level be expected, with inceased torque levels as high as 100 lbs ft above stock.
This would make power levels over the 310-315 bhp barrier with various other add on parts such as Air Filters, Intercoolers,Turbo Back Exhaust Systems quite simple to achieve and bring the new ST Focus a real fast car status.

The turbo below has a 4 port manifold unlike the focus single port manifold the turbo cores are the same but the exhuast manifold is different .This turbo is in stock to suit your application, it is supplied without the exhaust housing as the central core unit will install directly into your own Exhaust housing / Manifold.
