The Mk7 generation of Fiesta ST EcoBoost is ripe for tuning straight out of the box. With a completely standard ST180 running 99 RON fuel we have seen up to 235bhp and 370nm!

With some simple breathing modifications such as aftermarket cat back exhaust, downpipe and intercooler, plus our X47R hybrid turbo, our 3R calibration can see up to 345bhp and 410nm on tap, incredible numbers for a relatively small outlay and whilst still retaining the stock engine.

Which maps are included with my purchase?

- Stage 3 - Up to 325bhp with the Pumaspeed X47R hybrid turbo and all available bolt on hardware. A slightly lower boost file to suit 95 RON fuel, whilst still providing devastating performance. 

- Stage 3R - Up to 345bhp with the Pumaspeed X47R hybrid turbo and all available bolt on hardware. The most powerful hybrid turbo mapping available with total reliability day-to-day, and perfect low rev manners, with almost 1000 turbos sold world wide, you are in great company with this setup. 

- Stage 3R Crackle (Sports Cat) - The world's first cat safe crackle/overrun to suit the Fiesta ST180/ST200, simply lift off the throttle above 3500rpm and fall in love with the burbles from your exhaust!

- Stage 3R Crackle (Decat) - Agressive crackle on overrun to make sure you're centre of attention, making your Fiesta sound like a true WRC car! Want flames? No problem, we can give you flames, without causing any premature damage to your EcoBoost engine.

- Valet Mode - Limits the vehicle to minimal performance, ideal if you're leaving your car in the care of somebody else.

- Immobiliser Mode - Completely kill the cars ability to start and run, perfect for if you're leaving your car for a long period of time.

With the very best of everything what can the new X48R make ?
The graph below shows a progressive boosting map V4802 and the Added Torque V4803 MaxD Injector maps which are available at a small extra cost.

 

This MAXD 3R Flash Programmer allows you total control of your vehicles engine calibration with the use of any Windows based PC and is designed to run with an aftermarket downpipe and hybrid turbo such as the X47R in place. It will run with additional hardware such as the R-Sport Stage 3 Intercooler and R-Sport Air Filter Kit to produce up to 345bhp (Yes - that's 345bhp on a stock engine!). We recommend high grade fuels only for Pumaspeed R spec maps, however if you only have access to 95 RON fuel, no problem, we can simply offer a slightly milder stage 3 file with a 10-15bhp and 15-20nm reduction to suit the lower quality fuel.

Is it safe for my car?

There are very few remaps on the market today that have this sort or performance and also all the Ford OE built in safety features still included. This 3R calibration is running on many hundreds of cars now, with some over 100,000 miles on the clock with out issue, we pride ourselves on offering not only fantastic performance, but also a great reliability record.

 

ST180 tunes available from MAXD:

Stage 1 - Up to 225bhp with no or minimal hardware modifications, designed for 95 RON fuel, smooth progressive low boost factory-like calibration, a perfect addition giving extra drivability and economy.

Stage 1R - Up to 235bhp with no or minimal hardware modifications, designed for 98/99 RON fuel, more aggressive higher torque calibration, a perfect addition giving incredible gains in power, torque and economy.

Stage 2R - Up to 255bhp with minor bolt on hardware upgrades including intercooler, intake and turbo back exhaust. A very well mannered drive with a lovely hit of torque and a smooth progressive lift in power. Dwarfing the competition and giving you the full potential of the standard turbo when used with the full list of simple bolt on parts.

Stage 3R - Up to 360 bhp with the Pumaspeed X47R hybrid turbo and all available bolt on hardware and bigger double sealed injectors. The most powerful hybrid turbo mapping available with total reliability day-to-day, and perfect low rev manners, with almost 1000 turbos sold world wide, you are in great company with this setup. 

Custom - Up to 400 bhp with the X57/58 series turbos plus larger Injectors and all suitable bolt on hardware. Race spec software not for the faint hearted, custom mapped to your build, we can even offer dyno tuning at MAXD HQ in Burnley for those unique projects.

Valet Mode - Available on request to limit the vehicle to minimal performance, ideal if you're leaving your car in the care of somebody else. 

Immobiliser Mode - Available on request to completely kill the cars ability to start and run, perfect for if you're leaving your car for a long period of time.

Stock - MAXD have a database of stock original equipment files, these are available on request. 

 

Can the MAXD Flash Programmer be used to return my vehicle to the original stock file at any time?

Absolutely! The MAXD tool allows you to store the original file on your supplied USB stick allowing you to install your stock mapping any time you need.

 

What if my car is already mapped?

No problem at all, your ECU will be read by the software and this will be treated as the stock mapping for your car. We do have stock maps available upon request.

 

Is the software easy to use?

Yes the bespoke MAXD software is very simple to use and runs on any Windows laptop. We provide easy to follow instructions, a video guide if required, and if you get really stuck, we can even offer a remote install via TeamViewer.

Can I upgrade my maps to a higher level?

Yes, this is one huge benefit of the Flash Programmer, MAXD can easily send you upgraded files from the above list as you upgrade the hardware to suit for an affordable price. Stage 1R to 2R upgrade is a simple £100, rather than other tuning solutions which require another full purchase.

Can MAXD write a custom file to suit my list of mods?

Yes the in-house calibration specialists at MAXD can tailor a mapping to suit you and your driving style. Whilst MAXD research and development does run through most case scenarios, there will always be the requirement for that one off special build.

Can I use the device on more than one vehicle?

The MAXD device locks itself to your vehicles VIN number and ECU version and can't be used on more than one vehicle. We are able to unlock the Flash Programmers if they are returned to us, but this is only a service we offer for the original purchaser for use on another of their cars, we do not offer this service for the MAXD device to be sold on.

Can I use different fuels?

MAXD maps are available for 95RON, 99RON and 102RON (On Request). We make them freely available but warn that running the wrong fuel to mapping combination can be dangerous.

 

Do we think its the best?

The simple answer is YES. Pumaspeed, internet forum and social media group testing has shown all the MAXD calibrations to be amongst the best in the world, not only when it comes to peak figures, but features, reliability and drivability, even when compared to some very well known names.
