All Fiesta ST Mk8 intercoolers are not made equal, most all are made from Far East bar and plate cores and are quite heavy,
This Pumaspeed Racing brand new top of the range Fiesta ST Mk8 intercooler rewrites the rules when it come to MK8 inlet temps.
This Intercooler is way lighter and has twice the heat rejection capabilities of the bar and plate 90mm versions.

Manufactured in the UK with an incredibly efficient tube & fin construction, the Pumaspeed Racing ST Mk8 intercooler has instant response, with amazing heat rejection, especially for racing.

For this intercooler we wanted to offer a stock location solution for that OEM look behind the front bumper, with no modification or cutting required to fit, especially important in the TUV heartland of western Europe.

The intercooler core size is 150mm x 90mm x 690mm and it weighs in at 9.9kg, powder coated in satin black or alloy silver.

The Results Explained.
We ran the same car with the same tune on the same road in the same gear but 1 hour apart.
We didnt want to cloud the results so the car chosen was a customer car fitted with NO Pumaspeed Parts.
The Air Filter Kit was a simple Airtec not the Pumaspeed Gemini with 2 Cold Air Scoops, hence the Intake temps been higher than ambient temps by quite a lot.
The Exhaust was a regular Milltek Cat Back and the Stage 1 Tune was from Revo hence the Dangerous Fuel Presure dip shown on the graphs below.
The outside temps where 2 degrees higher in the hour it took for us to fit the New Pumaspeed Racing Intercooler which makes the results even more impressive.

Its very obvious that Stock vs Pumaspeed Racing is in a totally different League, its also obvious that the stock cooler simply cannot cope with   Stage 1 power levels as the inlets temps were at 42 degrees and climbing.
The difference between the Air Temps measured at the Airtec air Filter Kit (26 Degrees) and the Ambient Temps outside (16 Degrees) were caused by the lack of cold air feeds, this would have been way better if the Pumaspeed Gemini Twin Cold Air feed System had been employed.This 10 degree intake temp lift would have a direct impact Intercooler Exit Temps ( same as manifold Intake Temps )  and also cost a sensible amount of power especially if the Intercooler exit temps go much above 45 degrees.

With the New Pumaspeed Racing Intercooler fitted the Intercooler Exits temps actually were lower at the end of the Road Pull than at the start of it which is unbelievable and as thius new small Intercooler does not sit in front of the entire radiator it will not cause any overheating like the full hieght versions we saw lift temps on our recent trip to the Nurburgring.

Conclusion...
This is the Only Intercooler you will even need for the Mk8 and Mk8.5 Fiesta ST.

 As with all Pumaspeed intercoolers, this ST Mk8 cooler is direct fit and very easy to install with very few tools required. We also offer fitting on these at Pumaspeed HQ in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
